Skiing

One of these days, we’ll really catch up. Until then, here are photos of Isaac skiing last week!

OK, he’s really riding in our ski-trailer-buggy-thingy, but trust me, he had fun:

We fully intend to use this as much as possible while the snow lasts this “winter!”

Generation-X Parent Apotheosis

R.E.M. on Sesame Street, via MetroDad, via Slate commenting on the Gen-X parenting hipster blog phenomenon.

Isaac has watched Sesame Street once and was not impressed. For the very few minutes of TV we let him watch each day (while getting ready in the morning, to keep him from climbing the walls), he prefers Go Baby.

We’re Back!

We were taking a break from the blog for a while (partially a time management problem; partially a the-blog-was-hacked-and-it-took-us-a-while-to-get-back-to-it problem).

But Isaac is now 17 months!  Here are some photos of his recent activities:

Isaac was a little bit scared (well, actually a lot scared) of the other trick-or-treaters at the local mall, but he had fun later with Sadie.

Another New Friend!

Isaac can’t wait for his first trans-Atlantic flight to meet his new friend Imogen Melissa! She’s been out and about since October 5th, but just now got home. Congratulations to David and Rachel!

New Friend

Isaac can’t wait to meet his new friend Emma Hui Ai McKim, who was born on July 7, 2005 in Guangdong Province, China. Hopefully they can get together for a playdate in January!  Big congrats to new parents Reinhart and Marianna!

Yay!!! Isaac can’t wait to meet you all!

The Prouty!

On Saturday we walked 10K in the Prouty — twice as far as we planned to walk! — and we raised $425 for cancer research — $125 more than our goal! The event raised over a million dollars total — the most ever.

At the end we tied ribbons on the “promenade of honor” — one in memory of Isaac’s great-uncle Richard Page, and one in support of Grandma Mary! Go Grandma!
