Help Isaac Support Cancer Research

On Saturday, July 8, Isaac will be riding in his stroller (while Laura and Andy push him) for 5 kilometers in the 25th Annual Prouty Century Bike Ride and Challenge Walk. This event raises money for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center here in Lebanon, NH. We’re walking in honor of family and friends who have been affected, and we would like to help fund research that looks for ways to prevent, diagnose, treat, and maybe one day cure cancer.

Our family fundraising goal is $300. If you would like to help with any amount, click here to pledge online or print out a mail-in form. If you live in the area or close by, consider joining us for a walk or a bike ride!

New Stats

At his 9-month check-up this morning, Isaac was:

18 lbs

28 inches

He’s long and skinny!  And definitely bigger than the cats now.

New Cousin!

Isaac is a very happy baby indeed, as he now gets to welcome a new cousin:

Gabriel Richard Page
born April 27, 2006
7:50 a.m.
8 pounds 10 ounces
21 1/2 inches

Cool!

New Stats

15 lbs, 8 oz
26.5 inches

Almost as big as the cats!

New look, Hacking Report

IsaacBlog got a new look!

Partly a result of the [redacted] hacking attack from early Monday morning, but also in search of a better mode of displaying the links, which were so delicately grey in the original version that they were hard to see.

Dad also upgraded the software to a more secure version that will hopefully prevent annoying script-embedding attacks in the future. Sigh. At least I know more about this blog’s guts now, after spending nearly an hour mucking around in the file structure yesterday, getting rid of all the insidious redirect and spyware scripts.

Good thing Isaac himself is blissfully unaware!

Weigh to Go!

12 lbs, 5 oz. That’s five pounds since you were born — a half pound per week! (Mommy hopes she can start losing weight at that same rate …)

Various Isaac tidbits

Got his shots on Monday. Shots = cranky baby at night.

Scooting past the 9-week mark, he’s sleeping 5- and 6-hour bursts at night pretty regularly. We can count on at least 4 hours. We’ve been putting him to bed between 9 and 10, generally, depending on his last mealtime, and although we have to run in and calm him down once or twice, he usually just falls asleep. We’re taking this as a good sign.

He plays with stuff more often now, and has also (re)discovered his thumbs for sucking. Hand control is getting ever-so-slightly better. Head control is the bomb-diggity … he looks around most of the time now.

He enjoys waltzing.

Growing like a weed

8 lbs, 14 oz.

Last week, replace the “8″ with a “7.”

Whoa.
